Most drives fail underneath, not on top. We dig to depth, compact the sub-base in layers and edge everything in concrete — then lay the surface you actually chose.
01 — Surfaces & groundwork
Drives, patios and gardens. If you're not sure which surface suits the property or the budget, say so on the quote form and we'll talk it through on site.

Smooth, seamless and permeable, so surface water drains through rather than running to the road.

Hard wearing and quick to lay — the sensible choice for long drives and farm access.

Full-bed mortar, no spot dabs. Falls set away from the house and the pointing brushed in properly so it doesn't lift after a winter.

Levelling, topsoil, borders and beds — or a low-maintenance lawn if the garden gets no sun and never dries out.

02 — Start to finish
The order matters, and the depths are where corners get cut. Here's what happens on a standard driveway, so you know what you're paying for.
We measure up, check the levels and where the water goes, and put the price in writing with the materials named. No deposit to get a quote.
The old surface and soft ground come out to depth. Everything is loaded and taken off site — no piles left on the verge for weeks.
Geotextile membrane, then MOT Type 1 laid and whacked in layers. This is the bit that decides whether the drive sinks in three years.
Kerbs and edge courses set on concrete and haunched, with a channel drain or soakaway where the fall needs one.
Blocks, resin or tarmac go down, joints are sanded and vibrated, and the site is swept and washed before we leave.
03 — Where we work
We're based in West Sussex and work across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey. If you're a little further out, ring anyway — if we're already working nearby we can usually come and price it.
